Collective worship

Spinnaker provides Christian assemblies that engage and involve primary school children. Bible stories and topical themes are presented in a way that aims to be sensitive to all, including those of other faiths represented in the school. Spinnaker workers are trained and equipped to make the best use of the assembly time available, and where appropriate can make use of available equipment, such as over-head projectors and interactive screens.

Spinnaker workers are keen to involve children in their assemblies and like introducing new songs and new ideas, and they take it as a compliment if the ideas are copied and used again by teachers.

We write our own assembly material, working to a theme that is appropriate and relevant to children. If, however, schools have their own theme, or follow the SEAL programme for Collective Worship topics, then Spinnaker workers can often adapt to fit it with this.
