BiF clubs

Lunch-time or after-school clubs with a Christian emphasis

Most of the clubs we help run are called BIF clubs , " Bible is Fun ". The aim of each BIF club: is to give Primary age children the opportunity to find out more about Christianity and Bible stories.

Each week the BIF club is based on a Bible theme, with games, activities, singing and Bible story, and sometimes videos, craftwork or drama. There may be a short time for prayer and quiet reflection.

BIF clubs usually run at lunch time , or after school on school premises, (or occasionally at another venue, such as a church hall). The club will limit its numbers, or age group, according to the space and time available. There is no charge to the school or parents.

A child can only attend if written parental permission and agreement of attendance has been completed. This agreement makes clear the objectives, activities and organisation involved in running a club.

Each BIF club is staffed by adult volunteers, often from a local church, supported by one or more Spinnaker workers. Usually we aim for 1 adult volunteer to 6 children. Each adult will have both a CRB check and character references.

The clubs are greatly enjoyed by the children. We want every child, whatever their ability and background, to get something out of the club, not least a regular entertaining, educational and beneficial experience.
