Introducing Spinnaker Trust

2 girlsSpinnaker Trust creates opportunities for children to engage with Christianity.

Spinnaker has grown steadily since it was established in 1986. For over 20 years it has been our privilege to provide a programme that supports Religious Education and collective worship in assemblies. We currently have links with over 75 primary schools in South London and Kent, most of which we visit regularly every two weeks.

Spinnaker does not charge schools for these regular visits. As a charity we depend on donations from individuals, churches and charitable trusts. Supporters receive news each term about our work.

Teachers warmly welcome our input and they comment positively on our work:

  • "We are very pleased with the assemblies. The children look forward to them and they are well organised and planned with good children's participation. The spiritual content is very child friendly."
  • "We are a multi-faith school in an inner city area. Spinnaker has worked with us in a collaborative and sensitive way for many years in developing the spiritual and moral ethos in our school. "
  • "Our children benefit from exploring moral issues and have time to develop their own spirituality. An enthusiastic approach to RE delivered by Spinnaker and how it affects peoples lives helps the children understand faith and how it might affect them."
